Four members of La forza delle stelle | Baroque Orchestra—Lydia Becker (violin), Jimmy Drancsak (violin), Charlie Reed (cello & viola da gamba), and Alice Chuaqui Baldwin (harpsichord)—will be performing a chamber concert of works by Baroque women composers as part of the Gotham Early Music Scene Midtown Concerts Series in NYC! All works on the concert were written by women, including works by both the more famous Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre and Isabella Leonarda, as well as the less well-known Marieta Prioli and the woman composer known only by her pseudonym, “Mrs. Philarmonica.”
